Political Philosophy
Dr. V. "Issa" White is the last academic to have interviewed former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Dr. V. "Issa" White following the mandate of the Chief Justice and his teacher, Charles Hamilton Houston, the father of the Civil Right litigation movement, who believed that a lawyer was either a “social engineer or a parasite on society.” The Imam Professor wholeheartedly believes in this doctrine. Thus, if he fails to be a social engineer, Houston stated, he is a parasite that must be purged from society. The word lawyer can and should be replaced with the term, “civil servant.” Therefore, if representatives, congresspersons, or senators are not “social engineers;” but merely parasites on the people they should be eradicated from the body. Simply put, Washington has too many parasites that are literally sucking the blood of the American people. As an alternative to this parasitic syndrome that has taken the federal government and the American people hostage—Dr. V. "Issa" White is a card- carrying social engineer.
Dr. V. "Issa" White believes that there is not a fixed and monolithic political position. Politics are the people. The population of the American people is mixed with a wonderful blend of cultures, races, nationalities, ethnicities, and religions. America is a pluralistic mixture of humanitarian spices. Therefore, instead of being a one blend pumpkin soup; America is a holistic, beautiful, and soulful pluralistic vegetable soup. So, is the political stratum a one tier liberal or conservative line? Of course not, it is a puzzle of different shapes, interest, and determinants that is geared toward one direction the betterment and greatness of the United States.
Sadly, this greatness has been stymied by political operatives of both parties that have used lies, corruption, extortion, and terror to achieve objectives that are not always in line with the American people. The People’s House (The Capital) has become a venue of finger pointing, accusations, and non productivity. How do we change the narrative and atmosphere of Congress? By common sense speaking and working on the behalf of the American people. Members of Congress has been entrusted by the American people to enhance, protect, and cherish the legacy and future of the United States. Instead, representatives have harnessed political power for self-promotional influence and wealth. President Eisenhower warned us in 1959 when he said:
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought. . .. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the meshing [of our] peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."
The time is now, for Biblical and Quranic change of the narrative. Leaders who wallow in mud and who are too weak to speak truth to power must be cast out of the People’s House and replaced by servants of the people who have made a vow before the creator not to deceive or discredit the ones who placed them in power.
Therefore, my philosophy is easy. It is to represent, protect, and honor the people who have entrusted me with their will.
